The Blomquist Lecture Series continues in June with a visit from nature photographer and ecologist David Blevins. He has published a book of his photos titled North Carolina's Barrier Islands: Wonders of Sand, Sea and Sky. We are all familiar with the Outer Banks and this presentation will give us a different view of something familiar. The Blomquist lecture starts at 5 pm with light refreshments/meet and greet and the speaker goes on at 5:30 at the library.
The David Blomquist Memorial Lecture series, organized by the Friends of the Library, celebrates the world of creative writing and communications, and is a fitting tribute to the memory of David, a dear friend of the Shepard-Pruden Memorial Library in Edenton. Future lectures in the Summer and Fall will explore the world of creative photography, and local history.
