Tidewater Orchid Society's Orchids on Display

Historic Edenton State Historic Site will host the Tidewater Orchid Society during the Pilgrimage Tour of Homes with a display of tropical and native orchids exhibited at the Hisotric Edenton Visitor Center. This collection will be viewable during regular operating hours 9 am to 5 pm at no charge.

Orchid flowers are some of the most bizarre and diverse on earth. They can be shaped like buckets, slippers, helmets or even flying ducks. Orchids come in virtually every color of the rainbow. Floral fragrances are equally diverse, from pleasantly sweet to almost foul. Once considered the "flowers of the rich", today people in all walks of life and in all corners of the world grow these beautiful flowers.

9 am - 5 pm
