Dickens Christmas Parade

Come and enjoy the floats, boats, horses and holiday cheer! Children can sit with Santa and have their pictures taken following the Parade at Salty Kisses Kids Boutique. In getting ready for the visiting with Santa, children can leave their Santa letters in the Salty Kisses Mailbox.

The Dickens Christmas Parade is sponsored by the Edenton-Chowan Chamber of Commerce.

35th Annual Christmas Candlelight Tour

Enjoy a Dickens Christmas with natural decorations in beautiful private homes. Many weekend activities accompany the tour making the weekend visit a holiday wonder.

This tour is sponsored by the Edenton Historical Commission with tour headquarters at the Penelope Barker House Welcome Center.

Christmas Open Studio Weekend

Local Edenton Potter, Frank Miglorie, will open his studio to the public on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The studio is located on 1222 Sound Shore Drive, Edenton, NC. Frank will be working throughout the day demonstrating the various aspects of the art of pottery.

With Christmas around the corner, the studio is filled with new pottery featuring several new glazes and designs that Frank has developed since living in North Carolina. During your visit you will be able to see how he has integrated into his work elements from nature that are so much a part of the landscape in the coastal area of North Carolina.

Charles Dickens' classic tale is brought to life and reawakens the true spirit of Christmas. There’s fun for the whole family as Epic Music Theatre weaves the story with delightful Christmas songs, rousing dance numbers, a touch of comedy and a heart-warming cast. The show is 90 minutes long with a short intermission.

Santa Claus at Historic Iredell House

Santa Claus will be at the Historic James Iredell home-site from 6 - 8 pm. children of all ages are welcome to visit, give Santa your Christmas wish in person before Christmas and have their photos taken with Santa.

Santa will be fireside in the holiday decorated 1825 kitchen dependency; Santa will be giving out candy canes and coupons for a free hot cocoa at the Edenton Coffee House. Visitors can take their own photos, or have Kip Shaw take them at an additional fee.
