Cupola House Speakers' Series

Judge Terrance W. Boyle will launch the series. The title of his presentation is "Edenton and the Formation of the American Republic".

Judge Boyle received his law degree from American University college of Law. Living in the District Judge Boyle went to work for the US House of Representatives and served on the Committee on Banking and Currency. He later returned to North Carolina where he was Legislative Assistant and Counsel to US Senator Jesse A. Helms. In April of 1984 Judge Boyle was confirmed by the US Senate as the United States District Judge for Eastern District North Carolina. Judge Boyle was appointed Chief Justice to the court in October 1997 where he served until October 2004.

Susan and Ashlee Birkhead Artwork

In celebration of Chowan County's 350th Anniversary, the Chowan Arts Council is pleased to announce that Artist, Teacher Susan Birkhead and her daughter, Ashlee will have their artwork on display in the gallery throughout the month of March.

Opening Reception on Friday, March 2nd at 5:30 pm in the CAC Gallery for this exceptional exhibit.

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny is coming to Edenton! Historic Edenton State Historic Site is hosting our annual Breakfast with the Easter bunny program.

The morning starts with a pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny hosted by the unanimity No. 7 Masonic Lodge at 215 E Water Street at 8 am. After breakfast, hop on over to the Historic 1767 Chowan County Courthouse Green to take photos with the Easter Bunny, do Easter crafts, get your face painted, and play games. Participate in an Easter Egg hunt with candy AND special prizes!

To reserve your breakfast, please purchase your tickets ahead of time by visiting 108 N Broad Street. Cash or Check only. Proceeds benefit Historic Edenton State Historic Site's educational and recreational programs.

Tickets: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny $2/person; Activities/Face Painting $2/Easter Egg Hunt $2/ $5.00 for all!.
