July 4th Reading of the Declaration of Independence

Please join the Daughters of the American Revolution in the Reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Joseph Hewes Monument. A short biographical sketch of Hewes, the singing of the Star Spangled Banner, a prayer and wreath laying by the NSDAR. The American Legion Post 40 Color Guard will present the colors. (Joseph Hewes was an Edenton resident and signer of the Declaration of Independence.)

38th Annual July 4th Celebration

DJ Cowboy Adam Evans of Edenton, arts and crafts, food, entertainment and more ending with a Fabulous 4th of July Fireworks display over the water around 9 pm. Vendors, please contact Kirk Devine at 252-325-3234

The food and craft Vendors will be set up and ready for visits from noon, DJ Cowboy Adam Evans of Edenton will begin around 4 pm with an opportunity for dancing. The mechanical bull is coming back this year as well as several kid friendly competitions like a watermelon eating contest and seed spitting contest. Both crowd favorites. The traditional penny hunt will begin at 6 pm.
