300th Anniversary Wings Over Edenton

Join us for what we trust will be the most beautiful day of the year, continuing a year-long celebration of our town's 300th birthday, for the fly-in, drive-in day at EDE, Northeastern Regional Airport. Plenty of good food, good entertainment, old airplanes, old cars, and old pilots, and maybe even a few bold pilots.

There will be free airplane rides for youngsters, parahcutes, ag-plane demos, military fly-bys, home-built beauties, crafts, radio-controlled aircraft aerobatics, and more.

Penelope Pagett Barker and Women in American Politics

The role of women in Colonial, pre-Revolutionary political life will be explored as part of the Elizabeth Vann Moore Symposium Series celebrating Edenton's 300th Anniversary. Friday evening will begin the weekend with a play about Penelope and her organized efforts of women referred to as "The Edenton Ladies Tea Party" followed by the Symposium on Saturday.
