2021 has been a fantastic year in Edenton, and we’ve set record after record for new visitors coming to Edenton.
But we aren’t done yet!
Thanksgiving is just a week away, and many of us around town are hard at work getting ready for an exciting holiday season.
We might be a small town, but we do Christmas big in Edenton.
If you’d like to experience an authentic small-town southern Christmas, this is the year to join us.
On Dec 4, 2021 the inaugural Winter Express leaves the Penelope Barker House.
Edenton’s famous trolley will magically transform into an exciting ride fit for the whole family.
The family can enjoy food trucks throughout the afternoon, a fun train ride, and even story time at 4:00.
After sunset, we’ll all gather down by the historic Albemarle Sound to light Edenton’s Christmas tree and await the arrival of the big guy himself, Santa!
Santa will meet with children, taking requests and pictures, and the Flotilla will kick-off.
This year, we launch into the holiday season in style!
On December 10-11, people from all over the east coast will be descending on Edenton for the annual Edenton Christmas Candlelight Tour.
One of the biggest events of the year, the Candlelight Tour, allows you to step into dozens of historic homes owned by private citizens.
The lucky owners of these homes will welcome you in to tour their one-of-a-kind historic homes.
The Christmas Candlelight Tour is the only time of the year you can visit these homes.
You won’t want to miss it.
The Edenton Trolley Tour gets a holiday twist as the Cupola House gardens, Iredell House, and other Edenton landmarks are decorated to celebrate the season.
You still get the same great stories, see the same historic buildings, and experience the same tour, but with a holiday twist.
We are excited to kick this holiday season off the right way.
And, we’d love to have you join us.
It will be a holiday season to remember!
