Sounds of Summer is back and better than ever, offering a lively summer concert series that encapsulates Edenton’s coastal heritage and passion for good music.

• Friday, April 17 – Boogie on Broad featuring The Tams
  
• Saturday, June 13 – The James Henry Morgan Gang
• Friday, August 14 – Connected Jazz

Presented by Main Street Edenton and Visit Edenton, the Sounds of Summer Concert Series is a celebration of live music and the Edenton community, bringing together visitors and locals alike for four sensational evenings of entertainment and family-friendly fun. Each concert promises a diverse lineup of talented musicians spanning various genres, ensuring a vibrant and dynamic experience for attendees.

This event is free and open to the public!

On April 17:

Get ready to dance your way into summer—Boogie on Broad is back in Downtown Edenton for another unforgettable night!

• Food Trucks at 4:00 PM
• Kick off the evening with your favorite eats from a lineup of delicious food trucks.
• Beer, Wine & Live Magic at 5:00 PM
  Enjoy cold beer and wine while magician Scott Wagoner brings the fun with live, close-up magic that’ll keep you entertained before the music starts.
• The Tams Live from 6:00–10:00 PM
  Legendary beach music icons The Tams hit the stage for a night of dancing, singing, and pure Carolina soul.

Bring a chair. Bring a friend. And get ready to boogie the night away under the Edenton sky!

On June 13:

• Vendors start serving at 3 pm.
• Music starts at 4 pm.
• The James Henry Morgan Gang – Hailing from Coastal Virginia and Northeast North Carolina, the band blends blues, R&B, jazz, and psychedelic rock into a soulful, groove-driven sound. Led by guitarist/vocalist Jay Morgan, their dynamic live shows spotlight rich harmonies, horns, and improvisational energy.

On August 15:

• Vendors start serving at 3 pm.
• Music starts at 4 pm.
• Connected Jazz – A jazz ensemble rooted in Elizabeth City, NC, Connected blends Dixieland, swing, blues, bebop, and smooth jazz with touches of gospel, R&B, and soul. Led by trumpeter Wayne James, the group features a dynamic rhythm section, vibrant horns, and dual vocalists.
