Around Edenton the leaves are beginning to change with the cooler weather, crops are coming out of the ground, and the excitement is building as our community looks forward to the annual Chowan County Regional Fair!
As one of Edenton’s most cherished traditions, this year’s 78th Annual Chowan County Regional Fair honors the 250th Anniversary of the Edenton Tea Party with the theme of “Tea, Pigs & Patriots.”
And just like every year, the fair promises a week full of exhilarating rides and games, prize-winning local entries, and lots of delicious food!

The fair has a long and rich history, dating back to its inception. Since 1947, it has showcased the county’s agricultural heritage and provided a gathering place for both visitors and residents.

Some of the highlights of this year’s fair include:
- Tuesday’s popular Car Load Night with entry and ride passes for up to six people
- Tiger Encounter Shows each night during the week

- Senior Citizens’ Fun Night on Thursday with free entry for anyone 60 and older
- a Southern Gospel program in the Show Barn on Thursday night
