Edenton’s Beloved Sounds of Summer Concert Series Returns!

Whether it’s commemorating an historic event or cheering on our favorite baseball team, the Edenton Steamers, Edenton loves to gather for a celebration.

And summer is the best time to celebrate our welcoming community, our beautiful location on the Albemarle Sound, and our love of good food and music at the Sounds of Summer Concert Series

This year, our Sounds of Summer Concert Series is back and better than ever with fun activities for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Edenton’s picturesque waterfront along the Albemarle Sound, our Concert Series promises to deliver three sensational evenings of family-friendly entertainment.

We’re bringing in a diverse lineup of talented musicians spanning various genres, from blues and banjos to rock and roll.

These evening concerts are free and open to the public, so bring your lawn blanket or chair, set up by the waterfront, and enjoy the perfect summer night in Edenton.

We’ll even have food trucks and a beer garden at The Herringbone Trolley for your enjoyment.

This summer, plan to visit Edenton during the Sounds of Summer Concert Series and enjoy a full weekend of fun and celebrating!

The Sounds of Summer Concert Series Line-up:

  • June 14, 2025 – Mike Munson opening for Uphill

With intricate fingerpicking and hypnotic rhythms, Mike Munson weaves together the raw energy of blues, American primitive guitar, and early rock and roll. His playing pays homage to traditional country blues while forging a sound uniquely his own.

Playing blues straight from the Swampland, Uphill blends original compositions with revitalized lost classics from Chicago to the Delta, infusing each note with their signature Carolina flair since 2005.

  • August 9, 2025 – Kevin Brinson opening for The Bonafides

A professional musician and teacher since 2007, Kevin Brinson delivers a dynamic mix of rock and roll, spanning classic rock, alternative, and heavy metal. His passion for music shines through every riff and rhythm.

The Bonafides from New Bern, NC, bring acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, fiddle, bass, drums, banjo, harmonicas and soaring harmonies. They play everything from Carter Family classics to old-time fiddle and banjo tunes – even ZZ Top with banjo and extra crunchy electric mandolin thrown in for flavor. You’ll hear songs you haven’t heard in a while, and songs you’ve never heard played like this!

  • November 7, 2025 – Nature Out Loud opening for Adrian Duke Project

The high-energy sounds of Nature Out Loud will get the kids moving with an exciting mix of interactive and kid focused tunes. Their mission is to get kids excited about wildlife and engaging their minds through music!

The Adrian Duke Project brings their signature blend of New Orleans funk, soulful blues, and rock-infused rhythms that will keep you dancing all night long! This band’s critically acclaimed musicianship offers a high-energy experience.

The November 7th Sounds of Summer Concert will be part of Boogie on Broad, Edenton’s annual street party featuring food trucks, dancing, and family-friendly fun!
