October – Celebrating History & Halloween
As the weather cools and leaves begin to fall, Edenton’s focus at the end of October is on celebrating the historic 250th Anniversary of the Edenton Tea Party and sharing the magic of our annual Downtown Edenton Trick-or-Treat.
On the weekend of October 25th & 26th, downtown Edenton will be transformed into an 18th century colonial town to remember the 250th Anniversary of the Edenton Tea Party.
From costumed interpreters to a Colonial Market, you can experience the excitement and local pride of one of the first political actions taken by women in Colonial America – the signing of the Edenton Resolves.
This festive weekend culminates in a celebratory concert and sparkling fireworks show at Edenton’s Colonial Waterfront Park.
On October 31st, everyone is invited to dress up in your Halloween best and join the merchants in downtown Edenton for a family-friendly, safe trick-or-treat!

November – Appreciating Our Small Businesses
November is always a time to reflect and to give thanks for the abundant blessings we enjoy here in Edenton.
Throughout the month of November, we’ve designated several events to show our appreciation for the small business community that provides a welcoming and diverse downtown shopping district.

On November 16th, join us in beautiful downtown Edenton as our shops and streets transform into a festive holiday wonderland for a Christmas Open House.

The Christmas season in Edenton really kicks-off on December 7th when the community gathers for our Downtown Tree Lighting and Flotilla!
This is such a fun tradition for young and old as we welcome Santa to town and light our community Christmas Tree.
The celebrations continue on December 14th with the Edenton-Chowan Christmas Parade and the Winter Festival at our Edenton Farmers Market where you’ll find over 30 local vendors offering unique gifts for everyone on your Christmas list.
